Welcome to the Best Practices Course!

We’ll start with The 7 Keys to Best Practices in ArchiCAD, a 45 minute lecture that provides an overview of 7 key principles that will help you to use ArchiCAD more effectively.

  1. Get Organized
  2. Do It Once
  3. Save Your Settings
  4. Work from the General to the Specific
  5. Use ArchiCAD’s Structure
  6. Model Well, Draw Less
  7. Keep It Safe

The presentation is broken up into several smaller pieces to make it easier to view and download.

In addition. there are two PDF files you can download, and links to two Tips and Tricks articles. These previously published articles are referred to during the presentation, and may be studied to gain additional insights into these topics.

This 20 minute segment is the second part of the 7 Keys to Best Practices for ArchiCAD. It covers keys 1 through 5.

1-3. In Depth: Keys 6 & 7

This 16 minute segment is the third and final part of the 7 Keys to Best Practices for ArchiCAD. It covers keys 6 and 7.

      Thanks for the kind words about the course materials – I’m glad you are learning so much from each lesson.

      At this point (August 28) only weeks 1 through 9 have been created and posted. I will resume production of the Best Practices Course lessons in September, after I finish up the QuickStart Course. I am aiming to complete the entire course in time for our first anniversary in the second half of November.
