This module focuses on Detail Drawings: creation of a detail viewpoint from the model, editing and adding annotation, placement onto layout sheets, referencing and management of details from other sources including the creation of an office detail library.

24-1. Detail Drawings – The Basics

In this ArchiCAD training lesson we study the basics of Detail Drawings: placing a new source detail marker into a view of the model, editing and adding annotation, placing the detail onto a layout, revising settings for the marker callout bubble, and placing detail markers that are linked to existing detail drawings.

24-2. Detail Process Optimization

In this ArchiCAD training lesson we look at extended options for Detail Drawings that will optimize your workflow, including the use of 2D library components accessed through an interactive legend worksheet.

24-3. Reusing Detail Drawings, Setting Up Standard Detail Library Files

In this ArchiCAD training lesson we look at how you can reuse details from one project to another, as well as options for setting up PLN files as a reference library for standard details.

    Eric,
    Module 24-3 is very helpful with regards to developing an office detail library. Further to this, are you aware or any 3rd party detail libraries for Archicad that are available for purchase?

      Dave –
      I am not aware of any 3rd party detail libraries for ArchiCAD.
      This might be a good question to post on the ArchiCAD group on LinkedIn, or on ArchiCAD-Talk.
