Week #28 – Communication via DWG Files and BIMx
28-4. DWG Import Options and Workflow: External Drawings, XRefs, Worksheets, Layouts

ArchiCAD Training (Best Practices Lesson 28-4)

In this ArchiCAD training lesson we compare several different methods and options for working with imported DWG files, including placing them as external drawings, using XRefs, and merging them into an ArchiCAD project file. For many purposes, it is best to place DWG files as an external drawing onto a Worksheet, so that you may use the DWG as a trace reference or place a View of the worksheet onto a layout sheet.
