[July 14, 2011] UPDATE on the course and my health

UPDATE on the Best Practices Course and my health

For those who hadn’t heard, and were wondering why you hadn’t gotten an email from me for a while, I had a health emergency in late June that put me in the hospital for 4 days. I had an inflammation of the pericardial sac around the heart, which normally has a small amount of fluid; mine was enlarged with a lot of fluid.

While pericarditis is not life threatening, it does force the heart to work harder pumping against the surrounding fluid. The good news is that the doctors confirmed that my heart is functioning nicely, and that I did not have a heart attack.

With a prescription for a precautionary antibiotic and an anti-inflammatory medicine, I started to feel better, and am now (two weeks after release from hospital) feeling pretty much back to my old self. In fact, today I had an echo-cardiogram (a type of ultrasound test) that confirmed that the fluid around my heart had reduced to normal levels.

I have taken this health scare as a wake-up call, and have been making various adjustments to my life-style: not staying up so late working, getting more sleep and rest, eating better, getting out in nature more, etc. I’ve even given myself permission to slow down a bit and not push myself so hard!

I got a lot of “get well soon” emails from course members and other clients, as well as family and friends of course. Many of you said “take your time, don’t rush back to work, make sure you’re fully recovered, we can wait for you to get well, etc.” I would like to say “THANK YOU!” for all your good healing wishes.

THE BEST PRACTICES COURSE

So where does that put things in regards to the Best Practices Course? I will resume our coaching call schedule and start delivering new materials next week. Here is an outline of my planned schedule.

This week I’ve been devoting to preparing the upgrade for MasterTemplate 15, the office standard product that we sell and many of you have purchased. It is almost done, and I’m hoping to get this finished by tomorrow or shortly thereafter.

Next week, I’ll resume the coaching calls with a session on Thursday July 21 at 5 pm Pacific Time. There will be one additional coaching call this month, on Wednesday July 27 at 9 am Pacific Time. For those of you who are new to the course, please rest assured that if you cannot attend a coaching call you will be able to watch a video recording later in the membership area of the website.

I will focus on finishing up the QuickStart Course during the next 3 weeks, then resume development of materials for the main Best Practices Course itself. I believe that focusing on one main task at a time will make it more efficient and less stressful for me.

I almost forgot – we have 96 new members who signed up for the Best Practices Course during the past month! Welcome, and thank you for joining the voyage and our community.

I’ll be back in touch again early next week with connection info for the coaching calls.

If you have any questions about the course, or need any help, please feel free to email me. I try to respond to every email, although during my illness, I did not write back to all who sent me “get well soon” notes – I hope you understand and forgive me.

Best regards, and thank you everyone,
Eric
